I am a US citizen and I want to work and live in the Philippines. What do I need to do

I am a US citizen and I want to work and live in the Philippines. What do I need to do?
I am a filipino born in the US. I visited the Philippines a year ago and loved it. So I want to live and work there. Not sure if it will be permanent. Another reason why I want to work there is because of the beautiful filipina ladies.

You can check the visa requirements at the USCIS web site.
2 :
it depends how long you want to work there. you can get a work visa through the US to work in another country, but they have to accept you into their country when you declare your reasons for being there.

You must have sponsorship from a company in the Philippines for a work visa. The high paying jobs are competitive and extremely difficult to come by. The average salary in the Philippines is around $1000 a year. And possibly $500 a month if you are lucky. The Senators earn less than $30,000 a year, not counting their graft where there real money is. Better to live there and generate revenue from the USA. Something I have looked into in the past. EARN DOLLARS, SPEND PESOS!! If you have citizenship in the Philippines you do not need a visa. Joe, where in the world did you get your numbers? I do not know whether to laugh out loud or to question your statistical sources. According to your own follow-up stats senators earn P40,425/month that equates to P485,100/year. That is approx. $9,800 per year----way way less than the $30,000 that you previously reported. It's like saying a new 3-series BMW can be had for $10k when its real price is $30k. That obviously is not a reliable answer, it may even be considered fraudulent. Maybe I should report your answer as a violation as well as you did to me? We can play that game, Mr. Sensitive.
5 :
get a working visa and go there

That is too much trouble to find a filipina lady if you ask me. A fellow worker in Belgium married a nice Filipina "he met on the plane". I.e. find a Filipina lady through one of the 1000 or so wedding agencies, and they will provide you with a full cover story. Greetings from Belgium.

Where would you rather live the Philippines or Singapore

Where would you rather live the Philippines or Singapore? Why?
Where would you rather live the Philippines or Singapore? From what I've heard you couldn't have two places that could be completely different from each other. My question to you is what country is better to live in? Which country has happier, friendlier people? Which country has better quality of life? Which country has better job opportunities and economic growth? Which country has hotter girls? (Don't need to answer this one if you don't want to!!) Which country do you think is an overall happier place to be?

Singapore - much cleaner, people are more disciplined and low crime rate
2 :
Quite personally, I would rather not live in either of these countries but out of the two I would have to say the Philippines because my aunt, uncle, and some other family members live there so I would relate to it more and I have seen their culture. Also, flilipino food is wonderful! :)
3 :
definitely singapore, u can go out way into the night without worries. pple in the philipines will be friendlier but hey, make a few friends in singapore and u'll be happy already. the quality of life in singapore is definitely better then in philipines. singapore's one of the fastest growing country in the world economically wise and technologically wise too. but if u wanna be laid back and relax, philipines is ur choice. singapore will be rather stressful. but for me, it'll be singapore hands down. clean and safe. did i mention the food in singapore? awesome!

You go to the Philippines and you'll discover how great it is to live by. Filipinos are the most friendly individuals in the whole world. If it's your first time in the country, don't worry you'll not get lost or murdered because the folks there love foreigners. That's a fact. You could get the better quality of life if you want to in that country. Which country has better job opportunities and economic growth? well,it's not the phil. but it's a country which has an overall happier place to be!
5 :
I will live in the Philippines when I retire.
6 :
if i have to choose i would def choose Philippines over Singapore. I've never been to Singapore but if I have to pick which country is better to live in I'd still pick the Philippines because it's my home country and I'm proud to call it 'my home'. Philippines is a very happy country and I love it there soooo much and I am missing it badly :( I must admit it, it's a poor country but sure is a happier place to be. People their are friendly and funny and you will def enjoy your time living there. There's a lot of wonderful places to visit. Foods are delicious and the country is just so wonderful. MABUHAY PILIPINAS!!!!

Haha, I've lived both in Singapore and the Philippines and I'd say that Singapore is the place where you will most probably become a CEO, and the Philippines is the place where you will definitely enjoy yourself. Which country has happier, friendlier people? Philippines wins hands down on this one. It's no wonder that most of the hospitability staff in the world are Filipinos. :) Singaporeans are usually more competitive and focused on their own problems, leading them to be sometimes impersonal. Which country has better quality of life? Singapore has a higher standard (and cost) of living; it's considered one of the most efficient and globalised countries in the world! The Philippines may have that cheery easy-going jibe, but fails horribly when it comes to government and economical stability and security. Which country has better job opportunities and economic growth? Definitely 100% Singapore. If there ever was a country that thrived on economic growth and all that business-jazz, it would be Singapore. :) The bulk of the jobs in the Philippines are usually banking or Call-Centers, besides agriculture and manufacturing. There is a huge difference between the "high society" and the "lower class". Which country has hotter girls? Depends on your preference. :P Singaporeans tend to look more chinese-ey, while Filipinos look more malay-ish. However, Filipinos tend to care more about superficial appearance, and Singaporeans tend to be more high-maintenance. Which country do you think is an overall happier place to be? I would say... the Philippines. Although it suffers from political corruption, and some natural disasters, you will never find a more happy-go-lucky environment to live in. Singapore, on the other hand, is a bit of a stressed and controlled place, and doesn't rank high on the World Happiness Scale, despite having many attractive tourist/recreation sites. By the way, the Singapore system is more related to the UK, and the system in the Philippines is related to the US. On the whole, it depends on your personal preference to the social cultures offered in both countries. Some people adapt well to the Philippines, and some to Singapore. :) All the best!
3 :
When I retire, I will definitely live in the Philippines. That's my plan ..... at least for now!
4 :
singaporeans are rude philipinos always lie to your face
5 :
singapore is way ahead of the phils in terms of economic and political stability. Singapore is far better place to STAY. but phils is a better place to LIVE. i think. for me.
6 :
I will live in Singapore cause this is my homeland and I pretty love it. The Filipino, I will say. Singapore has a better economy and prospects, so Singapore has a better quality of life. Singapore once again. With a capable government and sizable workforce, Singapore has a better job opportunities and economic growth. Just look how many Filipino going overseas to work and you'll see. Both are equally sexy and hot. Its depends more on individual than nationality and race. If you want to compare that, than I will say the Philippines, cause no matter what happens, their attitude is more positive than their Singaporean counterpart.
7 :
i prefer the philippines coz it offers lots of things to do, urban and rural, nature, beautiful beaches and panoramic volcanic landscape. people are friendlier and less materialistic. it is a cheaper place to live too. job opportunity is there but you need to know people otherwise it could be difficult. and there are more selection of girls coz it is a bigger country and has bigger population than s'pore.
8 :
Philippinesssssss...
